KSG VS Model 1887 - Cod247

I'm confused about these guns. From what I've heard the KSG is the better gun but people prefer the Model? Now skotch has just said it again.

Anyone care to explain why this is?

I just got the KSG gold today, from level 1-31. I also have the model gold, and used it today as well. What can I say, the KSG is better on good connection, but the model is better on bad connection.

I say the KSG is better for 2 reasons- The pump animation is a little quicker than the models lever animation. But the main thing for me is that it holds alot more rounds than the model, especially with ex/mags which free's up perk slot 1 for Marathon, as I have to run SOH with the model.
In saying that the model is still my favorite and it also has better range than the KSG. If im trying to do well than i'd pick the KSG, if i want to have fun i'll choose the model.

I've heard hardcore modes are good as it's almost always 1HK.

Back to topic: i think ksg is better because its shoots faster. If you miss with model you are dead mwn.

Look at it a little more factually.

The KSG is a pump action shotgun with 9 pellets a shot, versus the Model 1887 which is a lever action shotgun with 8 pellets a shot. So, from close to long range, you're looking anywhere from 252 - 135 damage on the KSG compared to 240 - 160 on the 1887.

The KSG can get off a second shot quicker than you could get off a second shot with the 1887. In comparison, the 1887 could, definitely at range, take out an enemy in one hit more likely than the KSG could at range (Factor in how many pellets need to hit and consider the spread [virtually none on the 1887]).

There's many pros and cons to it really. The KSG has several attachments to it you can use, where as the 1887 comes with no attachments at any given point, only proficiency.

I've been leveling up the KSG as of late, just to be that guy with all the gold shotguns. My KDR with both of them is under 1.0, so. All of my other shotguns are well over 1.3. I prefer the Spas over the KSG, I've just had more accuracy.

I would definitely say that the KSG is more user-friendly. More pellets a shot, faster fire rate, attachments, etc.

But I'd take the model. I love Specialist bonus with it.

model is cool but my ksg with extendos and damage is the real killer. all the mag capacity frees up for marathon so you can flank em.

Opposite for me. The Model is dreadful on a bad connection.
